Cooper Wood & Associates, an asset management and asset servicing consultancy, has made two new appointments to support its growth and future development.
David Painter and Paul Harris both take on the newly created role of brand ambassador, which will involve them engaging with existing clients, and developing and promoting the Cooper Wood brand to a broader audience.
Most recently, Painter worked at Societe Generale Securities Services, where he set up a Trustee & Depositary Services division in the UK with responsibility for recruiting the team, building the governance and operating model, and taking on its first clients.
During his career, Painter has been involved with several key industry milestones and has held senior roles at J.P. Morgan such as head of UK business development for Trust and Fiduciary Services.
Meanwhile, Harris is an experienced relationship and business development manager with a deep understanding of private banks, asset managers, wealth management firms, prime brokers, broker dealers, across all asset classes and fund types.
Harris previously worked at NatWest Trustee & Depository Services and before that he spent 10 years at BNP Paribas Securities Services, most recently as sales and global relationship executive.

Cooper Wood & Associates was launched in June 2020 by Tim Wood and Rod Cooper and specialises in asset servicing, with a proposition of using senior practitioners with direct industry experience to assist both buy and sell side firms manage their commercial and operational challenges.
